YouTube sensations, the Sidemen, have broken into the mainstream. On the 20th of November, the Sidemen announced that their reality show Inside was returning for a second season, and this time it will be exclusively on Netflix. They further announced a US version is in the making, meaning fans can expect the Sidemen’s unique reality TV show to reach an even larger global audience.

What is Inside?

Inside is an original reality show created by the Sidemen, a group of seven Youtubers, consisting of – Ethan “Behzinga” Payne, Harry “W2S” Lewis, Joshua “Zerkaa” Bradley, Olajide “KSI” Olatunji, Simon “Miniminter” Minter, Tobi “Tbjzl” Brown, and Vikram “Vikkstar123” Barn.

Some give in to temptation, whereas others prioritise the winnings

Season 1 of Inside premiered this June on the ‘Sidemen’ YouTube Channel, following a similar premise to Big Brother, but with many unique aspects. Inside brings together a group of 10 reality stars, content creators, and internet personalities, who are confined to a house and stripped of all their luxuries (being fed I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! style). Across seven days, the cast compete in challenges, with the end goal of winning a prize pool of $1,000,000…but like all shows, there’s a twist. One of the main aspects of the show is the shop, housemates can purchase items, but the cost is deducted from their prize pot – some give in to temptation, whereas others prioritise the winnings. Across the week-long series, viewers watch as the drama unfolds…

“When we came up with the idea of Inside, we knew we wanted to shake up the game. We all grew up watching reality TV and are big fans of the drama and jeopardy that come with it,” the Sidemen say. “Combining that with a prize fund and the challenges that our fans know us for, we knew people would be hooked. We are so proud of the first series, and now with Netflix on board for a second season and a US version, this is just the start.”

What to Expect from Season 2?

Currently, details about the new season are being kept under wraps, but if it’s anything like the first season it is destined for greatness. The debut season of Inside captivated audiences with its blend of humour, chaotic drama, heartfelt moments, and we can’t forget about Castillo’s Fanta Lite (a recurring moment from Season 1, which became a fan-favourite meme). Season 2, with an even bigger budget, is set to raise the bar higher, – delivering more exhilarating challenges, behind-the-scenes moments, and guest appearances. There’s a lot of speculation around the cast of the upcoming season, given Netflix’s involvement, it is likely that Season 2 will feature an even more impressive cast.

When Does Season 2 Premiere?

The countdown starts now! With both seasons set to hit Netflix in 2025, fans can look forward to an expansion of the Sidemen’s world. Whether you’re a die-hard follower or a newcomer to their content, Season 2 of Inside promises to be unmissable. Stay tuned to the Sidemen’s socials for further announcements!
